Singapore Govt had decided in 2005 to build two Integrated Resorts which will house the first legalized casinos in Singapore. The IRs will also have other amenities including hotels, restaurants, shopping and convention centers, theaters, museums and theme parks. The IRs in Singapore are expected to create about 35,000 jobs directly and indirectly.
(1) Marina Bay Sands Resort is expected to open in end 2009.
(2) Resorts World at Sentosa is expected to open in early 2010.
